On 23rd September 2021, GAPS sent a follow up letter to the Prime Minister and Secretaries of State for the Home Department, Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and Defence on the need for continued urgent action to support the evacuation of women at risk in Afghanistan and ensure access to adequate protections for Afghan refugees resettled in the UK.

Along with 15 other organisations working in response to the crisis in Afghanistan, we are urging the UK Government to continue championing women and girl’s rights, peace and security.
