Karla McLaren is Head of Government and Political Relations at Amnesty International UK, responsible for leading the organisation’s advocacy, political strategies and relationships with Parliament and Government. Karla has extensive experience leading Amnesty’s political relations work on crisis situations, including Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Afghanistan; and also has expertise in human rights defenders, women’s rights and UK rights’ protections.
