Florence Waller–Carr joined the GAPS team in November 2022 as the interim Policy Advocacy and Communications Manager. She has worked on women and girls’ rights, and gender, peace and security for many years, including at INGOs, NGOs and UN agencies, both in the UK and globally. Florence is also a co-founder of Our Generation for Inclusive Peace (OGIP) a global youth led organisation that works at the intersect of WPS and YPS on making these agendas and spaces more accessible, intersectional and decolonised.
Alongside her work at GAPS Florence is undertaking a PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science Gender Department where her research focuses on the role of CSOs in shaping and implementing WPS. She holds a masters degree from the same university in ‘Women, Peace and Security.
